Mr Teong is currently heading ST Engineering’s UAS business, overseeing the technology and product development as well as business operations for both military and commercial markets.

Mr Teong has over 20 years of aviation experience for both manned and unmanned aircraft related development and upgrade programmes. Under his leadership, the DroNet solution was launched in 2018 and was granted the first Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) permit in Singapore in 2019.  Today, DroNet is the most widely used BVLOS UAS in Singapore with over 4000hrs of flight hours.

Mr Teong also actively supports the development of UAS related Technical References or Standards for the Singapore Standards Council.  He served as the co-convener of the working group which developed TR 78-1:2020 and TR78-2:2021 for inspection of building facades using UAS.
